Hoffman Automotive Machine Inc. offers a wide range of restoration and high-performance services for BMW, VW, and Porsche cylinder heads. I take great pride in the work I do, and over the years I have accepted some very difficult repair challenges. Since a lot of the cylinder heads I repair are rather rare and quite valuable, it is understandable that many owners are a bit fussy about who works on them. And because of their intrinsic value it stands to reason that every effort must be made to reclaim damaged heads. In many cases this requires creativity and ingenuity that you just don't find at the typical neighborhood machine shop. I don't view these heads as just another job. To me they are a part of automotive history. For example, how many B-model 356 heads are left? Not many. Or for that matter 2002 BMW heads. It is important to me that no vintage head goes to waste.
